Website Designing – Fundamentals

This is a step-by-step course designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of creating attractive, functional, and user-friendly websites. The course explores how visual design, content, structure, navigation, and technology work together to create an effective online presence.

Students will begin by understanding the purpose and structure of websites, different types of websites, common page elements, and the basic principles of web design. They will learn how to plan website content, organize information, create page structures, and develop clear navigation.

The course gradually introduces essential design concepts including layout, grids, spacing, alignment, balance, visual hierarchy, color, typography, imagery, consistency, and responsive design. Students will learn how to create visually organized interfaces that work across desktops, tablets, and mobile devices.

Students will also explore website wireframing, page planning, headers, footers, menus, buttons, forms, cards, sections, and other common interface elements. Practical lessons will demonstrate how to develop a website from an initial idea and structure it into a complete design.

The course introduces the fundamentals of working with website-building tools and visual editors, allowing students to apply their design concepts to real web pages without requiring advanced programming knowledge. Students will also learn about images, fonts, content organization, basic accessibility, usability, and maintaining visual consistency throughout a website.
