Adobe After Effects – Fundamentals

This is a step-by-step course designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of motion graphics, animation, compositing, and visual effects using Adobe After Effects. The course provides a practical foundation for understanding how static designs, images, video, text, and graphic elements can be animated and combined to create dynamic visual content.

Students will begin by becoming familiar with the After Effects workspace, projects, compositions, layers, timelines, and essential tools. They will learn how compositions are structured and how different visual elements can be organized and controlled within an animation.

The course gradually introduces key concepts such as position, scale, rotation, opacity, anchor points, keyframes, timing, and easing. Students will learn how to create smooth animations and control movement precisely.

Additional topics include text animation, shape layers, masks, track mattes, blending modes, basic color adjustments, motion tracking, green-screen techniques, and compositing. Students will also explore visual effects, transitions, animated titles, logos, and other motion graphics applications.

Through practical exercises and complete projects, learners will develop an understanding of animation workflows, timing, visual composition, and creative problem-solving. They will learn how to refine animations, combine multiple techniques, and prepare finished compositions for different uses.
