Overview
This is a step-by-step course designed to introduce students to the powerful world of digital image editing and visual design. The course provides a practical foundation for understanding Photoshop’s tools, features, and workflows and how they can be used to transform, enhance, and create digital images.
Students will begin by becoming familiar with the Photoshop workspace, documents, image formats, resolution, color modes, and essential tools. They will learn how to open, organize, crop, resize, and prepare images for different purposes.
The course gradually introduces essential techniques including selections, layers, masks, blending, adjustments, filters, retouching, and image correction. Students will learn how to modify colors and tones, remove unwanted elements, combine multiple images, and create controlled visual effects.
Typography and graphic elements will also be explored, allowing students to create simple promotional graphics, posters, social media designs, thumbnails, and other visual content. Through practical exercises, learners will develop an understanding of how individual Photoshop tools can be combined into an efficient creative workflow.
